Job Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for automation machines and instrumentation systems.
- Produce assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and exploded views.
- Assist mechanical engineers in machine design and development.
- Modify and update engineering drawings according to project requirements and ECN changes.
- Ensure drafting complies with engineering standards, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with production, machining, and assembly teams during machine build activities.
- Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics / Drafting or equivalent.
- Experience with CAD software such as:
- Autodesk Inventor
- AutoCAD
- SolidWorks
- Understanding of:
- Precision mechanical parts
- Tolerance & GD&T
- Pneumatic components
- Machine structure & sheet metal design
- Knowledge in automation equipment or semiconductor industry is an advantage.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Fresh graduates may apply for junior roles.
- Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
