Penang, Malaysia (January, 2021) – Pentamaster, the world-leading one stop test solutions provider for optics & photonics is proud to announce its first ever Tri-Temperature test technology for optics sensors such as structured light, time of flight and LiDAR.
These sensors are widely known for their capabilities in facial recognitions & augmented realities for smartphones as well as LiDAR for autonomous vehicles. For the Automotive and industrial applications typically require stringent testing to ensure sensors and IC thermal behavior and reliability at wider operating temperature ranges from -40°C up to 180°C. For instance, unavoidable hazards such as extreme temperatures and high humidity could damage or hinder the laser transmission and receiving of the sensors which could result in incorrect or delayed optics sensor reading of the surroundings leading to life-threatening safety risks especially for autonomous vehicles.
GIDEON Tri-Temperature Test Solution for 3D Sensor
At Pentamaster, we have designed the testing solutions for Optics Sensors with tri-temperature range from as low as -40°C up to 180°C. We incorporate this revolutionary technology into our GIDEON series consisting of a fully automated handler and modular test cell which is configurable with different test methods and parameters for a wide array of sensors. With the launch of Tri-Temp GIDEON, it raises the standards to eliminate any possibilities of safety risks to consumers while enabling a safer and smart driving experience for autonomous vehicles.
